When we’re carrying a lot, it’s tempting to “fix” ourselves quickly. But healing rarely responds to force. More often, it responds to safety.
A gentler approach
Try this:
- Name what’s here: “I feel tight,” “I feel heavy,” “I feel guarded.”
- Locate it in the body—without judging it.
- Offer one kind phrase: “You don’t have to do this alone.”
- Let your breath make space, even if nothing “releases” immediately.
What counts as progress
Progress can look like:
- a softer reaction,
- a clearer boundary,
- less self-criticism,
- more rest,
- one honest moment of self-trust.
If you’re ready for support, sessions can help you create a safe container for release—one step at a time.
